"Tour de l'Isle"
Allumette Island, le dimanche 20 mai 2001
The spring sun was present on Sunday, May 20th…and so were more than a hundred cycling fans. Beginners, experts, adults and children came to Allumette Island to share a special day of fun and friendship.
Starting from the newly-built portion of the PPJ Cycloparc, the Allumette Island Tourism Committee was prepared to welcome the 1st "Tour de L'Isle" participants with a choice of 3 different tours (15, 40 and 65 km around Allumette Island). From as far away as Hull, people flocked to this family event. The family package rate, including breakfast and t-shirt was a great success.
Congratulations tot the Allumette Toursim Committee for their tremendous enthousiasm and organizational skills. Next year, …same time, same place!!
