The Pontiac is the ideal place to practice
a large variety of winter sports. Skating, cross-country
skiing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, ice
fishing await the outdoor lovers.
Cross-country skiing
A numerous of groomed and marked out cross-country
skiing trails await you in our region.
Downhill skiing :
The Pontiac has a downhill
skiing resort near Fort-Coulonge: the Mont
Chilly Ski Lodge. Ski patrols ensure the
security, a ski school
(no formal) allow the beginners to progress and to
participate to sporting events organized there. You can
rent equipment and have a drink or eat something in the
big cottage just near the ski hills.
Snowmobiling :
In the winter time, the PPJ Cyclopark becomes a snowmobiling
trail. From the Cyclopark, you can join a numerous of
trails which allow you to reach Pembroke in Ontario, Maniwaki,
Otter Lake, Aylmer, ... are available.
Special skating :
You will find in the region many skating places.
Arenas,
open-air skating rink, many kilometers on river. You will certainly find the best area for
you.

Since the opening of the skiing trails, Children and adolescent will be able to learn how to ski and
progress thanks a no formal course, training and competition.
